Location

El Cardonal is a quiet village. There are two mini-markets, several restaurants, a coffee shop and a spa as well as a church, an elementary school, a children's orphanage and a medical office. 

The popution of El Cardonal is only 450 people vs 300,000 in Cabo San Lucas and 2,000 in Los Barrilles.

It is ideal for travelers wanting privacy, natural beauty and an authentic Baja experience away from crowds and the bigger resorts. It is custom to waive as you pass other vehicles and the miles of sandy beachfront feel like it is your own personal paradise. The Sea of Cortez is much calmer on the East Cape than in Cabo, so paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling are popular activities. 

To get to Casa Cardonal fly into the Cabo San Lucas airport (SJD). Transportation to and from the Casa is arranged by Wolf Property Management. Large parties often arrive on several different flights. This is not a problem.

The casa is a 90-minute drive north of the Cabo San Lucas airport (SJD) airport.  The Casa Cardonal is located on the “East Cape” of Baja California, just 17 miles north of Los Barriles. 

Driving Directions:

Take Hwy #1 north from the Cabo Airport 42 miles to Los Barriles. Turn right into town. Drive east through town along the main street for 0.4 miles. Turn left at T intersection and drive north out of town across the arroyos and into the mountains. At 17 miles you arrive in the town of Cardonal. Turn right at the T intersection. The Casa Cardonal is 0.6 miles south of the intersection on your left (three houses after the pavement ends). There is a "Casa Cardonal" sign on the entry archway.
